    All Students:
    •    Collegiate Day will be Thursday!! Students – wear your favorite college shirt!! 
    •    Yearbooks are on sale now at Jostens.com! $45 each. 
    •    Tutoring is available every day after school in the library from 3:25-4:25. Students will check in and must stay the full time unless a parent or guardian signs them out.

    STUCO: 
    •    Friday’s Game Theme is = Camo! KHS vs. Glendale @ Glendale, 7:00 p.m. kickoff! 

    Homecoming Spirit Days, Monday, September 29 – October 3rd
    Monday – Take Me to Rio! Travel day – PJ Day
    Tuesday – Birds of a Feather – Dress up with your favorite flock – Twin Day
    Wednesday – Tourist Life vs Wild Life – Dress as a tourist or wear animal print
    Thursday – I Wanna Party! Wear sparkles and bling!
    Friday – Under the Brazilian Sun – Pink Out

    Homecoming – “Under the Brazilian Sun” – Friday, October 3rd 
    •    Assembly – KHS Gymnasium, Thursday, October 2nd. 
    •    Game – KHS vs. Nixa, kick-off at 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 3rd.
    •    Dance - Friday, October 3rd, 9:30-11:30 p.m. 
    •    Tickets are $10 each and will be sold during 3rd block lunch times on Monday – Wednesday, September 29 – October 1. Tickets will be sold on Thursday & Friday, October 2 & 3 for $15 each. Buy your tickets early to save some money! No sales will be made after 1:30 on Friday, October 3rd. Plan ahead and buy your ticket early.
    •    Dance Guest forms are available in the Main Office and must be returned signed to Ms. Bricker prior to purchasing your tickets.
    •    All fines and fees need to be paid before purchasing tickets. See the Financial Office. Library fees & fines should be paid in the library.
    •    You must have 90% attendance or better by Friday, September 26th and no OSS to purchase tickets.
    •    You MUST be in attendance all day Friday, October 3rd in order to attend the dance that night. If you have an appointment scheduled that day, it needs to be rescheduled. If it cannot be rescheduled, then your parent must contact Mrs. Helfrecht to obtain prior approval for your absence by Thursday, October 2nd. 

    Athletics: 
    •    Girls Swim & Dive is starting up soon! Registration & suit try-on night is tonight at the Natatorium from 7:30–8:30 PM. Don’t miss it!
    •    Students! Please check your ID Badge!! If you purchased the athletic pass or the activity pass you should have a green or red stadium icon. If you do not have the icon and you have paid, you will need to get your ID reprinted. You must have this icon on your ID badge when you go to a game in order to get in without paying. If you need a reprint, stop by the Main Office and see Ms. Bricker to get this taken care of. 

    Seniors:
    •    Senior Headshots and Quotes information: Senior headshots should be sent digitally in a jpeg or png format to kickapooyearbook@gmail.com no later than October 31st. Seniors may use the school picture day photo in place of a studio photo. Photo should be portrait style, mid stomach and above. No full body, horizontal or selfies. Photos will be published in color. Senior quotes MUST be school appropriate and is subject to omission if it goes against school guidelines. See the Senior section on our website for complete details.

    Counselors
    •    The SPS College & Career Fair will be Tuesday, October 7, 5:00-7:00 pm at Central High School. Prepare for life after high school! Explore future careers, meet potential employers, ask questions, meet college reps, learn about financial aid and more! 

    Kickapoo U
    •    Volunteer Hours accrued from May 1 – August 31, 2025 must be turned in through Canvas no later than September 30th. They will not be accepted late! Students are expected to turn in their hours as soon as they finish them. All students are enrolled in the Volunteerism Canvas Course. Students need to log in to Canvas, read the information and follow the directions to turn in their hours.  

     

    Club Announcements:
    •    National Honor Society: Applications are due by Friday, October 3rd, 5:00 pm. No late applications will be accepted. No exceptions! All invitations were sent through Canvas. See Mrs. Lampert, S104, if you do not receive an invite but think you qualify.
    •    Mu Alpha Theta: Applications for Mu Alpha Theta are now open. Mu Alpha Theta is a national mathematics honor society. Members are eligible to compete in competitions, as well as receive a Mathematics Seal of Excellence and Cord upon graduation. Anyone interested in joining the club needs to get an application from Mr. Evans in room 229. Applications will close on Tuesday, September 30th. 

    Club Meetings:
    •    eSports will meet every day after school in room 229 from 3:30 to 4:30.
    •    FCA will meet every Monday morning in the PAC at 7:30 a.m. You do not need to be an athlete to join and participate. FCA is open to all students. 
    •    RPG will meet every Tuesday after school! All are welcome
    •    Robotics meets every Tuesday & Thursday after school in room 136!
    •    Woodworking Club meets every Tuesday & Thursday after school in room 134. 
    •    FCCLA meets every Wednesday after school in room 105. 
    •    GSA meets every Wednesday after school in room 116 until 4:00 pm. Join us and meet other students in a safe and inclusive environment.
    •    First Priority meets every Thursday before school at 7:30 a.m. in room 235. Everyone is welcome!
    •    Youth Alive meets every Thursday after school in room 239. Everyone is welcome!
    •    Drama Club meets every Friday after school in the PAC until 5:00.
