Our Why 

Portrait of a Graduate takes the key components of Springfield Public School's mission and puts them into action. Students engage in relevant and personal learning experiences and are empowered to showcase the work they complete during and beyond the school day. The Learner Portfolio, a digital portfolio all students in grades 3-12 will create by the end of 2021-22, allows students to authentically share their work as it relates to six attributes: communicator, collaborator, creative, critical thinker, academically empowered, and engaged citizen. These attributes are community-selected and encapsulate the skills Springfield Public Schools graduates need to be successful in the 21st Century.
