Parents will be able to walk their students to class on the first day. If you choose to walk your student to class, you will need to park and enter through door 1. You will not come through the carline.

 

Parents of Wonder Years students will be able to walk their students to class on Wonder Years first day. Parents will enter through door 1 and walk their students to the cafeteria if they arrive before 7:05 before going to the classroom. Parents arriving after 7:05 will walk their students directly to their classrooms.

 

After the first day, we need all parents to follow arrival and dismissal procedures to keep all students and staff safe. The first few weeks may cause some delays in the carline, but it is important procedures are followed.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Morning Dropoff

Doors open at 7:00 AM. Carline will begin at 7:00. Carline ends promptly at 7:20. Once the bell rings at 7:20, our custodian first locks the front doors and then the carline gates. If she is at the carline gates, it IS after 7:20, according to the school. Once she arrives at the gates, she tries to assess the line of cars, and there is no guarantee that you will get through the gates. We have found we do not have many families until after 7:10, this delay causes the line to be long toward the end of carline. Our custodian will signal that you are late by redirecting you to the front doors.

• Parents should not pull into the back parking lot to drop off students.

• Please give ample time in the first few weeks of school as we work on efficiency.

Parents will enter the carline on westbound Sunset. Turn right on Hillsboro, and please be mindful of the crossing guard and pedestrians as you pass the school. Turn right through the private lane at the gated entrance. Next, continue on Hillside Ave. and enter the parking lot from its gated entrance. To exit the pick-up carline, exit the parking lot and turn right on Seneca.

Afternoon Carline Pick-Up:

• Dismissal begins at 2:20 PM.

• We will utilize the same car line as in the morning. See the Above picture for reference.

• Parents should not pull into the back parking lot to pick up students.

Walkers & Bike Riders:

Wilder students who walk or ride their bike may enter the building from the main entrance on Hillsboro or the backdoor entrance by the staff parking lot after 7:00. In the afternoon, they will be dismissed from the main entrance on Hillsboro or the back of the building at door 6 at 2:20 PM. Students should refrain from riding their bikes on school property for the safety of all. FYI—The city does not provide a crossing guard on Ingram Mill Rd & Seneca St.

Y Academy and Boys and Girls Club

This will be provided to registered students after school. You can register by contacting the YMCA at 417-862-8962 or going to their website. Parents can pick up their child by parking in the back parking lot and entering through door #3 (Cafeteria). The program is open until 6:00 PM.
